ARTIST BIO

1996:  

Moved full time to a farm in Aireys Inlet, Victoria.

Extended the farm house to include a studio, where I began to paint more seriously.

1999:

Won Highly Commended Oil Painting at Anglesea Art Show

2001:  

Travelled to Italy with Margaret Cowling,a member of Melbourne’s top 20 watercolourists, to study and paint plein-air in Florence, Venice, Rome and Lucca.

2002:

Exhibited and sold in Lucca, Italy.

Held a solo exhibition ( “At Home And Away”), at the Lighthouse Keepers Cottages in Aireys Inlet

2003:

Travelled to Darwin, then to Kakadu and Litchfield National Park on a 14 day painting trip.

Held another solo exhibition (“At Home And Away”) at the Lighthouse Keepers Cottages in Aireys Inlet.

2004:

Have hanging space in “Eagles Nest Fine Art Gallery”, Aireys Inlet.

2005:

Exhibited in a joint exhibition with Beverley Corridas and Janet Fitzpatrick (Town ‘n’ Country) at the Victorian Artists Society Galleries in Melbourne.

2006:

Won ‘Best Oil” at Anglesea Art Show

Travelled through The Kimberleys, again with watercolours. However, as this was not a specific painting tour, painting time was limited, however I still managed many on site sketches to be included in my 2008 exhibition.

2007:

Won “Best Oil’ Anglesea Art Show

Travelled to France – Paris and the Dordogne  (Bordeaux) Valley.

2008:

Won “Best Oil” Anglesea Art Show

Solo exhibition held in the Victorian Artists Society Galleries, Melbourne, July 31 – Aug 6

2009:

Solo exhibition at Eagles Nest Fine Art Gallery, Aireys Inlet, 14th Feb – 10th March.

Travelled to Paris, Cinque Terre Italy, with watercolourist Margaret Cowling, Lake Como, Switzerland, with Bev Coridas, on painting trip.

2010:

Won “Peoples’ Choice” category for “Lorne View”. at the Lorne Easter Art Show.

Won Best Pastel for “Eagle Rock: at Anglesea Art Show

Won “Peoples Choice” Award for “Riagammore”  at Anglesea Art Show.

Honorable mention for “the Coolamaon Tree’ at Angair Art Show

2011:

Travelled to Santorini in the Greek Islands to paint a commission for Dr. Ann Read, joined painting tour of Turkey with tutor Ev Hales.

Won “Best Oil at Anglesea Art Show for “The Gathering”

2012:

Solo exhibition at victorian Artists Society “Santorini, Italy,Turkey & More..”

Won “Best Painting of the Show” Anglesea Art Show for “Early Morning Walk”

“Early Morning Walk” chosen for Surf Coast 2013 Calendar

2013:

Won “Honorable Mention” at St Kevins’ Art Show for “Leila & Ali Baba”
