ARTIST NOTES: I created Fragile by exclusively focusing on small segments at a time of an abalone shell – a still life but hardly a still life when completed!>The creative exercise I used for Fragile forced me to observe each tiny element I was seeing and not paint what I thought I saw. Each discreet image has its own beauty, is unique and comes together to create the whole.>
