ARTIST BIO

I have always been creative. Joining boxes together, drawing, sewing, painting, writing and drawing on our childhood chalk board. My favourite times when I was a child were with my favourite present - a huge set of watercolours in an Alice in Wonderland tin - kneeling on the floor over my grandfathers big old suitcase which had many art books inside, painting on the butchers paper my father had bought home.

Then in high school I discovered I could sew. That kind of took over for the next 30 years. I sewed everything that I wore. I got a job in the wardrobe department at the ABC at Ripponlea and worked on many films and television shows doing costumes.

I moved back home to North East Victoria when I had my son and in some of the quiter moments I began to get creative again.

I completed my Visual Arts Diploma in 2013 and have plodded along with my painting which I discovered since then.

I love the idea that others can interpret their own 'space' in someone elses pictures and I try and create a mood rather than a scene. I cherish and enjoy that others may delight or feel a stirring of a memory through my skills.

I am currently looking for a studio so that I may start working with disabled persons so that they may enjoy the delights of being creative and giving them a voice and expression while doing so.

I relish all things creative and a means for our expression.
